The short answer is no, our expedition begins on the tar and smooth gravel and slowly more adventurous routes are introduced to our clients. Drivers with no 4×4 experience will be more than comfortable to tackle the routes. The toughest driving will be in the sands of Sossusvlei and some single track slow driving through the Koakaveld. Our guides will be on hand at all times if you ever feel uncomfortable, but rest assured you will be more than capable.

15 of the 40 nights are spent in either hotels or lodges which are 5 & 4 Star rated.

25 of the nights are spent in our glamping canvas camp set up.

Glamping – a form of camping involving accommodation and facilities more luxurious than those associated with traditional camping.

Our tents are 12ft x 8.5ft (102 square feet) or 2.6m x 3.6m (9.4square meters).

Each tent contains a queen size bed (or two single beds if preferred), The beds have 6 inch / 150mm mattresses, bedding, two side tables, reading lamps, luggage racks and a power point. The tent doors and windows have mesh screens. Mosquito nets are available.
